Do you know how to support children through the experience of loss?
Are you a parent, uncle, aunty, teacher, nurse, youth worker, foster carer, nursery nurse, juvenile detention officer, or meet with young people in your personal or professional life in any other way?
It is part of our responsibility to raise the next generation with the emotional resources to navigate the pain of grief and yet, in modern society, adults are poorly resourced to provide this guidance.
I trained as a children’s nurse at the world famous children’s hospital in London, Great Ormond Street, and still found myself lacking in these skills.
I am delighted to bring to you the Helping Children with Loss programme, based on the book, When Children Grieve.
It is a 4 week course that runs regularly through the year and up-skills caregivers to provide emotionally mature support to children who are experiencing loss.
If you would like to discover how to instil emotional resilience in the next generation, please get in touch.
