Background
I began my career as a young nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.
I staffed on the paediatric oncology unit at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff and the Family Care Centre at the Mildmay Hospital, London, for families affected by HIV and AIDS.
I received a BA (first class honours) in African and Asian Medical Related Studies and Study of Religions from the School of Oriental and African Studies and a MA (distinction) from Bristol University in Contemporary Theologies.
I undertook my PhD under the supervision of Dr Julie Leslie at the School of Oriental and African Studies and wrote my thesis on Healing in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahado Church.
Family
I have four daughters all born at home, 1 has flown the nest, and the younger 3 are still under my wing home educating.
That is the beautiful part.
The rest is in the murkier realms of affairs, divorce, a decade in the family courts, homelessness, breakdown and gentle recovery.
Spirituality
I lean into the non-duality of the Course in Miracles, I love the fluidity of Taoism and the rapture of the mystics.
